Getting your home looking its best doesn’t have to be costly or complicated, either. Here are a few simple ways to start prepping your home for the market!

1. Clean, declutter, and donate.

This is what I like to call your “first move” —clean, declutter, depersonalize, and organize your home from top to bottom. Donate anything you no longer want or need.

2. Give your paint a refresh.

Repaint any bold-colored rooms with neutral tones, such as light grays and whites. This will allow buyers to focus on the spaces themselves, not the color of the walls.

3. Make small updates.

Small updates can make a big difference in the overall feel of a room. Kitchen a little dated? Replace the knobs, light fixtures, faucet, & even consider painting the cabinets. This same concept works in bathrooms as well!

4. Make large repairs.

Large issues will deter buyers, so consider addressing any big-ticket items or repairs before you list. A well-maintained home typically sells for more!
