FIRST STEPS TO LISTING YOUR HOME
Is selling your home one of your 2022 resolutions? If so, there are things you can do now to lighten the load before the spring! A few home improvements can go a long way towards making a favorable impression on potential buyers, and getting your home looking its best doesn't have to be costly or complicated.
Here is a list of recommendations on how to prepare your home now to get it show-ready: first and foremost call me! Don't start any preparation without talking to a real estate professional. From the correct paint color to essential repairs, I will provide the most cost-effective way to prepare your home for the market.
1. Start to clean and declutter. Anything you will not be taking with you to your next location should be disposed of or donated. You want buyers to focus on how awesome your space is, not how messy or dirty it looks.
2. Make a list of home repairs or maintenance that you should do before you sell. Call up a handyman or friend and get on their schedule asap!
3. Unreasonably warm day? Take advantage of it and powerwash the exterior as needed.
4. Do a "mini-renovation". Small updates can make a big difference in the overall feel of a room. Kitchen a little outdated? Replace the knobs, light fixtures, faucet, and hinges. This same concept works in bathrooms as well! Tackling home improvements to get your home ready to sell? Send me a message id love to help.
